So I know I went on this trip a while ago, but I am slow. Here are the pictures from Vegas Pi! It was the trip after Vegas 3.0, Pi Day happened to be on a Saturday, so it became Vegas 3.14. "Basically a weekend of bad Dave jokes," Hubert predicted.
After a slight delay in picking up the van from Mel, we were on our way. Dave and I went to get most of the crew at Travis', then a stop in Arcadia for Babak, then we made our way to Victorville for the last 2.
Navi wore the chain specifically for this
the crippled guy taking up the backseat with his "coke" Devon.... singing? posing? taking a shot?
the model Of course, we had to stop for some refresing drinks. Babak took the classy 40-in-a-bottle route. Someone had to do it.
and he was thirsty
"I learned in med school.... whatever says, 'do not take with alcohol,' TAKE that shit with alcohol!"
the dev dev
Michael brought freshly-fried JALAPENO POPPERS and CHICKEN NUGGETS. Best van passenger ever!! And he drank a lot of Smirnoff. After much traffic, more bathroom stops, and a little parking difficulty, we finally made it to the Venetian! Thomas gambles so much that he gets free rooms, and offered us a Venetian suite.
the high school homies, missing V :(
getting ready to go out
It's okay Hubert, I'm sure not everyone is that bored with you
breathalyzer - always a hit at parties
every time we tried to take a girly picture, one of the attention-whoring guys would get in the way
so we just had to deal with it
ha! got one!
All the guys on the way to Lavo the bad dancing pics begin
Dave just needs some gold chains to complete the look, and higher-spiked hair maybe
shirt buttons are good
the Hubert face
Don, the king of subtlety in admiring women
me and Trav
Travis doesn't look excited enough to be in this photo
one of 3 people could be behind bent-over Jay, who is it?
thanks Travis!
ladies love cool Hubert
Jay feelin nice
If you're one of 4 girls in a group of about 15, you HAVE to dance whether you want to or not
whoever had my camera really liked Jay
I mean really
he got them whiiiiiiiiiite girls
who the f is the guy on the left and what is he doing to Don?
Travis never cooperates with coordinated photos.
more inexplicable randomness
Kristin, Travis, and a fuzzy arm
more happy people
Devon's tongue ring is as much of a hit in clubs as Navi's money chain We had all met Don that day, and most of the group had thought he was gay. He couldn't understand why.
CSOs and the honorary one
the good ol boys
Babak looks shocked to see people getting down at the bar
bad photography.... you can't blame me!
more bad photos
Thomas was fascinated by something
and so was Navi? what was it?
dave and trav
Some random girls. I don't remember how we found them.
everybody, everybody! Except for Susanne and Justin, who came the next day. And Ruben disappeared.
but was replaced by a random blond girl on the right, apparently. Jay talking shit
the girls... and 2 random ones in the middle.... how do we make these "friends" so easily?
half-posing
they liked us enough to stick around for 3 photos
just us
WOULD have been a nice photograph....
a little better, but he scared Kristin and Navi
confusion
the boyz
I wish my camera focused :(
Don wondered the whole time why everyone thought he was gay
After the photo shoot, we FINALLY left the Venetian. Thomas decided he wanted to take us all in a limo to Sapphire.
hey, he paid! And I'd never been in a limo before, so it was exciting.
I didn't take any in the strip club, like others did. But it was an interesting experience. I got molested by a stripper, my face pulled into boobs of someone else's stripper (and I'm a GIRL), Babak passed out and woke up to 2 Asian girls in his lap, the male room was NOT all that, a man who will not be named got a free lap dance from his girlfriend and a friend, but sent the stripper over to his girlfriend instead, a phone was stolen, etc. At least Thomas didn't blow a couple of Gs..... again.
After Night 1, we all passed out at various times, me on the air mattress. As soon as we could wake up, we hit the Planet Hollywood Buffet (free food for Hubert, asparagus, "WOW" and "I'm not gay! I love P***") and one of my favorite places in the world.
we found a group outside who gave Free Hugs! How could you turn that down?
who said nothing's free? Apparently this was before Swine Flu season.
I really liked Travis' shirt
We came back to the room to find.... Don who had come back earlier, the $3 all-you-can-drink champagne at the buffet caught up to him.
taking a break
nap time for some
especially for Dan. No one stuck it on his face intentionally, and he did not notice until after being fully engaged in a conversation after waking up.
We got pretty again and went out for the night. Dave requested Farsi songs from this guy.
it just makes everything better!
what was he doing?
Dave's new friend
waiting at NY NY
the "newlyweds?"
no one will ever know
still waiting....
waiting and checking phones to look occupied
finally inside Nine Fine Irishmen..... Irish Car Bombs were mandatory
ahhh, college/Brewco memories
the pristine beer that Mike found
the kids who joined us that day, Jay, and Don
the ladies
pay attention Navi!
Travis tried, but wasn't too popular with them
the last remaining Wife Draft women
hangin with the teachers
uhhhh....
NYC reunion if Mike and I joined
oooooookay
hehe.....
who the hell was the photographer?
I don't remember why we took this, either
catchin up with Mikey
another inexplicable photo of Dave
I must have said something good
the first didn't look angry enough
and Dave didn't get enough of himself in the last pic
still gossipping
we made our way out into the cold
the windy bridge
I gathered all my girlie cards all day and wanted to make it rain
my vision was people on the sidewalk/street below to be surprised by a shower of boobs
it "kinda" worked?
waiting for Hooters.... Dave's winnings
back at the room
stalling the long, ardous cleaning process
Thomas would threaten to violently murder us if we opened the shades
I thought it was a pretty good bar
don't do it!
each person's "pile" hungover and no vitamin B12 :(
we had a junk food festival on the way home. This is just what Dave and I had in the back seat. But from the front, you could request popcorn, Funyuns, Krispy Kremes, and much more. After hours of traffic, driver switching, telling high school stories and planning a trashy mexican party, we finally made it back. I'm already looking forward to the next one! |
